The storm is over

Weather. It's great to watch it change. From still to windy to wet to tranquil. And then the sun predominates again and it's the beginning of a new cycle.

Aruba has offered many such changes. One can watch the storms erupt over the Caribbean Sea, move to shore and then dissipate.

And on several occasions, we have found a great gem at the culmination; a brilliant rainbow over the horizon.

For me, rainbows represent a covenant. It reminds me of the earth, why it exists and the responsibility we have to be good stewards of the environment around us.

Once we use it up, it's gone. I want to become better at preserving the gift. And the rainbow tells me it's my responsibility to do just that.
